Turkey Cutlets

There are many cutlet recipes online, in American cuisine a cutlet is more famously using chicken and coasted with flour, egg, and bread crumbs. Then fried in a pan with some oil. The cutlet is shaped like patty made from ground meat, according to wikipedia.com.

I have known how to make cutlets from my husband and have recreated my own version by adding soy sauce or magic sauce.  These delicious patties have approved by my family including my lovely kitty girls.

Ingredients:

1 pound ground turkey (I use 93% lean ground turkey )
3 garlic cloves, minced
a half onion, chopped
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
1/2 teaspoon ground Italian seasoning
pinch of salt and black pepper
1 egg, beaten
1/3 cup dry breadcrumbs
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 tablespoons butter

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix ground turkey, minced garlic, onion, soy sauce, beaten egg, salt, pepper, breadcrumb, Italian seasoning,  cumin, coriander, and mix well. I like to marinate it in refrigerator about 30 minutes but is not necessary.

Remove the turkey mixture from the refrigerator and form the mixture into 6 patties and coat them with flour mixture (mix all-purpose flour with pinch of salt and black pepper together).

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter in a large pan (12-inch) over moderate heat. Cook the cutlets until golden brown both sides. I like to cook 3 patties at a time and warm them in the oven. Serve hot with vegetable salad, baked potatoes or make a turkey sandwich. That sounds wonderful. Enjoy ka!

Cook 3 patties at a time about 4 minutes per side.

Cutlets are turning brown and looking good!

I also checked temperature at least 165 F.

Yummy!
